Sharks are just one of the endangered marine species.  But this does not stop some of the people to continue to capture sharks.  In some part of the Philippines, sharks are being captured not only as one of the sources of fish meat, but the fins are the ones they are interested in because of the high demand in the market.

These shark fins are being transported to the City’s fine restuarants.  These restuarants are making these fins one of the most finest soupin their menu.  We, all know that the Philippines is a third world country where the number people are having hard times to look and have better oppotunties to support the growing family.

Though there are already laws being implemented by the government about such things, people continue to do capture and eat these endangered species.  Yes, it is the shark alone is being butchered here but also other endagered marine species.

The Philippine governement has also created and actually promoting the cooperative system in the communties living near the shoreline, due tolack of properi mplementations, there other thr problems which is not being addressed and this causes most of the shoreline being manipulated in the other way around, thereby, creating a destruction and not a solution to make that marine sanctuary a sustainable resource.

Before (in the Philippines), when you say shark, most of the people are afraid of it, but today, when you say  shark, some of them will be very glad because they will now have another chance to make some earnings to sustain the family’s financial needs.
