The Coastal Resource Environment

Welcome to Marine Rehabilitation & Resource Management Program website.  In here, you will learn all the possible things to be undertaken to develop the coastal environment to become a sustainable source of income and food for human race.

Information provided includes programs on how to start a Cooperative System, the Constitution and By-laws, duties and responsibilities of officers/leaders of the cooperative, possible alternative resource management programs and on how to implement the  Marine Resource Management Program as a whole.

There are multiple facets which contributed to the degradation of our marine environments and more of these facets continue to add to the rapid depletion of coastal resources because of lack of  rehabilitation programs and alternative resources in the community.

Through Marine Rehabilitation and Resource Management Program with the cooperative system and concerned members, there’s no way we can’t restructure the traditional ways of utilizing this coastal environment.  More than half of the world is composed of water and only the cooperative system is the only way to make this environment a sustainable source of life.

Though there are already preventive measures which are currently being implemented over areas where the shorelines are being populated by people who rely on coastal resources for living, in some shorelines of less develop countries seem that these preventive measure to preserve the marine resources are not totally giving any productive advancement in protecting coastal area.

This Marine Rehabilitation and Resource Management Program has given emphasis the creation of a Cooperative System which will be the base point to teach people in the shoreline to learn about alternative productive sources of living to be done while waiting for harvest time.

These preventive measures if implemented seriously will not only make the people living in the shoreline to understand the importance of their environment but also to learn other alternative sources of living.  An alternative source of living will not only teach the community for another way of life but most importantly, marine species will have the chance to multiply again before it will be harvested.

One of the problems that had been taken for granted and is also one of the reasons why these cooperative system dies due to lack of proper education , lack of proper implementation of the program and lack of alternative sources of income to where these shoreline communities to augment their source of living while waiting for the fish and other coastal produce to mature.  With this Marine Resource Management Program, hopefully will motivate not only the Government and Non-Government Organization (NGO), the people living in the shoreline but also philanthropies to work more seriously in the preservation of this key environment.
